Project Overview:

The internationalization project aims to strengthen Socem EDs presence in foreign markets, also innovating in the way we interact with the customer.

The project contemplates the creation of a strategic plan in the commercial area and in the way the company relates to customers, promoting the Socem brand across borders, fostering a global brand capable of serving its customers anywhere in the world , with an integrated offer of mold engineering and development solutions, also innovating in the way customers can follow their projects.

 The prospect of new markets, the increase of the brand in countries where there are already small commercial relations and others with great potential, but still little explored by Socem, will be the goals to be achieved through prospective visits and presence in fairs of the sector.

Project Overview:

This project is aligned with SOCEMs vision of sustainably increasing its competitiveness, flexibility and responsiveness in the global marketplace. To this end, three strategic axes have been defined, which are interconnected and complementary to create a coherent whole in line with the companys vision:

Axis 1: Training for new methods of work and introduction of SOCEM in the 4th industrial revolution through ICT;
Axis 2: Improving product development capacities;
Axis 3: Training for the implementation of iso/ts 16949 standard.

This project 21111 has approved a training component that includes 5 courses and has the following investment:

Eligible investment: 38,458.65 Euros
Non-refundable incentive: 23,075.19 Euros

Course 1: Training key users of the SOCEM management platform;
Course 2: ISO/TS 16949 Standard - Requirements and Tools;
Course 3: VARIOTHERM Technology;
Course 4: IMD - IN MOULD DECORATION;
Course 5: Lean and 6 Sigma at Green Belt Level.

Project Overview:
Following the application to the Research and Technological Development Incentive System (Individual Projects) submitted to the Competitiveness and Internationalisation Operational Programme, supported by FEDER - European Regional Development Fund, SOCÉM - E. D. - FABRICAÇÃO, ENGENHARIA E DESENVOLVIMENTO DE MOLDES, S.A. saw project nº 45274, designated as "Intelligent SOPHIA - Knowledge Management System for Molds Industry 4.0" approved.

Purpose:
This project aims to respond to a set of technical and technological challenges that require research to present the i4.0 Intelligent SOPHIA system to the market, a global solution for operations, information and knowledge management for the mold industry.

Activities:
A1: To investigate the technological architecture to be developed to present to the market the SOPHIA system, as a global solution for the mold industry and providing it with intelligence, automation, security and robustness.
A2: To investigate a cloud computing approach of the solution to be developed, to ensure 24/7 availability, speed, and marketing and scalability requirements.
A3: Investigate IoT to be implemented and its approach to cyber security and data control on the "factory floor".
A4: Investigate techniques and algorithms to transform raw data into knowledge and business value.
A5: Implementing the supporting data infrastructure.
A6: Development of the global solution.
A7: Wide Results Dissemination.
A8: Project Management and Technical and Scientific Coordination.
